Jakob Pesendorfer | Urban Design – Research – Strategy
“The time has come to approach Architecture urbanistically and Urbanism architectually.” (Alison Smithson. ed. Team 10 Primer Cambridge, MA: MIT 1968)
My academic trajectory includes Student Assistance at the Faculty of Architecture and Spatial Planning in Vienna (future.lab) and study visits at the Technical University of Munich. Following professional experience in internationally operating Architecture and Urban Design offices in Vienna, Zurich, and Munich, I hold a Master’s degree (cum laude) in Architecture, Urbanism, and Building Sciences from the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at TU Delft. Alongside my studies, I worked as a Teaching Assistant and served as Co-Chair of Polis, the student association for Urbanism at TU Delft.
My research interest lies in exploring the intersection of urban design and planning, with a focus on systemic thinking and spatial practices that can support circular societies and regenerative territories.
